Hawaii’s beauty, Legoland may open in New York, Ryanair may take over Cyprus Airways

55 years of statehood: Celebrating Hawaii

Hawaii has become one of the most popular places to visit. Celebrating 55 years of statehood, CNN put together a photo essay of the highlights of beautiful Hawaii.

The region’s beauty, history and landscape have enthralled novice and seasoned travelers alike. American travel writer Paul Theroux once said, “Hawaii is not a state of mind, but a state of grace.”

Will a Legoland for New York become reality?

A theme park may be headed to New York City. It won’t be a Six Flags or Disney park, but a LEGOLAND.

The plan is to utilize the site of the former Letchworth Village in Thiells within the town of Haverstraw. Recently, the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council met to chat about stuff like economic development—ha—and the plans for the theme park received a positive reception.

Ryanair to hold talks on Cyprus Airways

Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary is heading to Cyprus to hold talks with the government about a possible takeover of Cyprus Airways.

Ryanair was among nearly 20 companies which last month submitted non-binding expressions of interest in the airline, now controlled by the Cypriot government. The process is a preliminary step towards any eventual binding offer.

O’Leary’s announcement marked a change of approach as he had said last month that Ryanair was not particularly interested in acquiring the carrier.
