Weekend what we’re reading: Exercise on the road, examining commuters, traffic jam prank

This weekend we make plans to exercise in more creative ways while on the road. We examine the complex world of transportation systems and the value they add — we all don't suffer through commutes for nothing. There is a value for our efforts. And, in the spirit of traffic jams, we enjoy a video of traffic stuck on hold.

Weekend what we reading: Traffic jam apps, pickpockets on the prowl, gambling on airfares

This weekend we look at how smartphones may help avoid traffic jams, the return of pickpockets (though, I don't think they ever left) and an airline that wants passengers to gamble on changes in jet fuel costs to protect the airline's bottom line.

GPS study finds that real-time traffic updates save drivers four days per year

A recent story that floated across my screen offering me four more days every year. Since I can always use a bit more time, I was intrigued. I never knew my GPS system was so useful. I know that I lose plenty of time sitting in traffic, but I never knew I could recoup it. Well, kinda.
