The Independent Travel Media Alliance has lined up a round-the-world grand prize, as well as weekly giveaways and two big first prizes. They are picking eight finalists over eight weeks at random and one of those will be packing bags for two to circle the globe. Four finalists have already been chosen at random, with four weekly winners to come. The challenge? Guess the route of where the journey will take them.

The nine host websites are some of the most recognized names for independent travelers: the BootsnAll Travel Network, Consumer Traveler, GoNOMAD, Johnny Jet, Perceptive Travel, Practical Travel Gear, Transitions Abroad, and Wanderlust and Lipstick.

Of course you have to work a little to enter a contest this exciting with prizes this big! But not much. All you have to do is put a little bit of your travel knowledge to the test.

The challenge? Guess the route of where the Round-the-World journey will take you.


The Grand Prize winner will receive two Around the World Airline tickets from the BootsnAll Travel Network and $500 spending money from Transitions Abroad. But that’s just the start. This grand prize also comes with the following:
