Aircruising: a new way to see the United States
If you’ve always wanted to tour the United States but don’t want the hassle of going through commercial airports to get there, try aircruising.
It’s called an air cruise, or more specifically, a Mauiva AirCruise. The company, first started in Florida as an air charter company, recently released a new travel product combining the multiple itineraries of a traditional cruise with the quick connections of air travel into a new hybrid product.
Experiential hotel in Sweden allows guests to sleep underground
If you’ve always wanted to know what it’s like to sleep underground, be sure to visit the Mine Suite in Sweden.
Located 155 meters underground, travelers can now stay in the Mine Suite at Sala Silvermine, the deepest hotel room in the world, in Sala Municipality, in Västmanland County, Sweden. This 16th century mine was at one time the country’s biggest silver producer.
Restaurant names sometimes a mouthful for patrons
When Alex Taylor opened his restaurant with partner Carlos Buscaglia, he figured patrons will surely mispronounce the name.
“When we were putting it together, that was the first thing we thought of — people are not going to call it the right name,” said Taylor, managing partner of Due Forni at 3555 S. Town Center Drive.
And, as it turns out, they were right. While the correct pronunciation is “dù-e fornì-è,” most first-timers are more inclined to say something along the lines of “doo forny.” And Taylor wouldn’t have it any other way
