Where to get New York’s best hot chocolate this winter

When it comes to the winter season, one of the best treats you can get is a steaming cup of hot chocolate. One of the best places you can get it is at the R Lounge at the Renaissance New York Times Square Hotel.

Chilly travelers can take in 360-degree views of Times Square and beyond while sipping special hot chocolates relating to the month’s holiday and season, each served with a complimentary sweet.

EU court confirms flight delays compensation

EU’s highest court, the European Court of Justice, affirmed an earlier ruling that airlines must compensate passengers delayed for more than three hours.

The court was ruling in a case involving Lufthansa and another involving TUI Travel, British Airways, easyJet and IATA.

Passengers on flights starting or ending in the 27-country European Union are entitled to between EUR€250 (USD$330) and EUR€600 for delayed or canceled flights under EU rules.

Boeing increases 777 build rate to 8.3 per month

Boeing said that it has increased production of the 777 to 8.3 per month, up from 7 per month.

The manufacturer said a rate of 8.3 aircraft per month is the “highest rate ever for a Boeing twin-aisle airplane … The first part, the lower lobe of the aft fuselage, of the first 777 [a freighter designated for Korean Air] to be built at the new rate was loaded into position in the factory earlier today.”
