JAL to serve…Kentucky Fried Chicken on select flights

Japan Airlines will begin serving Kentucky Fried Chicken on certain flights in certain classes.

During [December 1, 2012 to February 28, 2013], customers traveling in Premium Economy and Economy Class on JAL from Narita to New York, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego*, London, Paris and Frankfurt, will be served KFC’s Original Recipe two-piece chicken meal during the second meal service. It includes one drumstick, one boneless chicken breast fillet, a piece of complementing flat bread made especially for AIR KENTUCKY, a cup of coleslaw and lettuce leaves.

Continental overturns manslaughter verdict on Concorde crash

An appeals court in Versailles has overturned the 2010 verdict that Continental was to blame for the Concorde crash.

Continental, now part of United Continental Holdings Inc. (UAL), and a maintenance engineer fought the lower court’s decision to hold them responsible for the deaths, saying the Concorde’s explosion wasn’t the result of debris from a Continental plane.

Emirates Airlines is looking for an aircraft that can carry up to 800 passengers.

Adel Al Redha, executive vice president of engineering and operations at Emirates, said the airline wants to be able to fit at least another 283 passengers on board each plane.
