To make it safer for people to get to the Las Vegas sign, commissioners have requested the installation of a crosswalk.

Staff presented the council with four options on Tuesday: the crosswalk, two bridge options and an option to relocate the sign to the west side of Las Vegas Boulevard.

The crosswalk was the cheapest, easiest option and would cost about $300,000 to install.

Obama: Sequestration would result in airport delays

President Obama warned that passengers could face longer travel times if sequestration were to take effect.

In a pitch to lawmakers made against a backdrop of emergency first responders, Obama included cuts to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in a long list of what he said would be stark consequences of allowing the sequester to take place.

Greyhound companion fares: more spring getaways for less money

Greyhound is enhancing its companion fares special for travel within the United States.

With the purchase of one full-fare adult ticket at least three days in advance of travel, up to three companions can travel for 50 percent off the full price of a ticket.
