What we’re reading: No more toll-free calls to Spirit Airlines, Hogwarts Express at Universal Orlando, Boeing’s battery fix

Spirit Airlines switches toll-free lines to not-free 801 area code

Spirit Airlines has found yet another way to pass on its costs to its customers. If you need help, you’ll have to dial an 801 number instead of the 800 number.

“Our new numbers are allowing us to keep our costs low, which we in turn continue to pass along to our customers by way of the ultra-low fares they have come to know and love,” said airline spokeswoman Misty Pinson.

Pretty soon they’ll be like the following airline:

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando will get a Hogwarts Express (and more)!

If you’re a Harry Potter fan living in Orlando, you’ll be excited to know that Universal Orlando will be expanding its Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

Diagon Alley and ‘London’ will be located within the Universal Studios Florida theme park, which is adjacent to Universal’s Islands of Adventure theme park, where guests now experience Hogwarts and Hogsmeade. The new area within Universal Studios will be just as expansive, immersive and authentic as the existing themed environment.

And – just like in the books and films – guests will be able to travel between ‘London’ and Hogsmeade aboard the Hogwarts Express.

Behind the scenes: Boeing’s Dreamliner battery fix

CNN has the inside scoop from Boeing’s Commercial Aviation Services on how the battery fix for the Dreamliner was put into place.

CAS was already planning to repair the JAL 787 when another battery incident occurred January 15 on an airborne ANA flight shortly after takeoff in Japan. An emergency landing and evacuation followed. Inspection revealed another propagation incident, but this time no fire.
