Cruise lines bring new travel choices by remodeling older ships
Cruise lines are trying to shake off the image that they’re all the same.
As older ships cycle through dry-dock remodeling, a time when ships are taken out of service to perform routine maintenance not possible while at sea, cruise lines are adding some of the most popular new options.
The idea is to make older ships competitive with new builds by adding today’s features from much bigger ships that are appropriate and will work well with smaller, older ships.
Steve Wynn proposes Philadelphia hotel, casino
Steve Wynn is confirming that he wants to build a hotel casino in Philadelphia’s Fishtown area.
Wynn’s plans include a 150,000-square-foot casino with 100 table games, along with a 300-room all-suites hotel on about 60 acres, the story says. The proposed hotel rooms would be large by most standards, with each room having about 900 square feet.
